“Love Me Gently” is directed by the insightful Corinne Golden Weber from Paris via Berkeley, in what became a unifying collaboration with cinematographer Shaka Jamal of Olu8 Film Realized and master dancers Shefali Shah (Bomba) and Jean Pierre Sighe (Tango). The video attempts to capture the emotion of love suspended in time, rendering a sublime message of compassion for one another, one that our communities need now more than ever.
This sultry song is produced by the renowned Bay Area producer Headnodic (Crown City Rockers, People Under the Stairs, Gift of Gab) who brings together members of the beloved group Crown City Rockers, Kat ((O1O)) and Max MacVeety to create this sexy, jazz based, electronic beat. Destani’s sensual lyrics and sultry vocal approach brings warmth and excitement to the intimate message – ‘Love me Gently’.
